Most of the time, people are asking about Pinterest followers and if they matter. I researched it and with my experience in different Pinterest accounts, I discovered that an account with 5,000 followers could get the same amount of traffic as someone with 10,000 followers.

So what determined this ruling:

97% of pinners are looking for general and unbranded searches. The people on Pinterest are not looking for brands, people are companies. What they are searching for ideas, inspiration, help them to accomplish their goals or dream about the future.

So what we can do to grow our business with Pinterest is to deliver traffic to our clients’ website and help them to decide to take action by asking them to join the email list, show them product sales page or make them read your blog. So your profile, boards, and pins must reflect who you are and what your account/niche is about so that people will be attracted to your content and follow you and do the specific move in your call to action.

Hence, that is the reason in my personal opinion that followers on Pinterest arent is that much important with Pinterest than with Instagram.

So how will you grow your Pinterest Followers:

1. Tell People to Follow You
If people love to see your content and what you are doing on Pinterest, asking them to follow you will be easier. People love roadmaps and telling them to follow you will make them feel that they are not missing a thing or two.

2. Let People Be Aware that You Exist
Brand awareness is one of the most important things in a customer’s journey. Even if you have the most useful and wonderful product, service, or content if people don’t know that you exist then none of this will be work.

Tell your audience on social media like Facebook or Instagram that you are also on Pinterest.

You can send your audience to a specific board and ask them to save or comment on the board.

3. Post a link in your email.

This sends the reader directly to whatever pin I want them to go to. It only takes about 15 minutes to gather and insert the links, but the results can be great because now your audience is sharing your content on Pinterest for you.

Also, talk about why you are using Pinterest as a place to share your content and why you love it. Again, maybe your audience doesn’t know you are on Pinterest, and they just need to be made aware!

4. Create a blog Posts.
A blog post is not just for SEO purposes but it will also be a subtle call to action that will build awareness that you are on Pinterest.

Use these tips and in six months, I want to know what kind of growth you’ve been seeing. And if you have any tips on growing followers that I didn’t mention here, comment below and share them with all of us. Also, you may want to convert your personal to a business account to maximize the stats.

Happy Pinning!
